Child Porn Sting Hits Disney World, Legoland And Local Boy Scout Parent

An undercover child pornography sting operation in Polk County, Florida, resulted in 11 arrests and 660 felony charges, it was announced Tuesday morning. Among those arrested as part of “Operation Guardians of Innocence II” were a Disney World employee, a Legoland builder, a former teacher and a 16-year-old student.

The Polk County Police Department released the names of ten of those arrested along with the charges that have already been filed against them.

  • Edward Zaborowski III, 48, parent helper with his son’s Boy Scout troop, was charged with 64 counts possession of child pornography and 1 count promotion of sexual performance by a child.
  • Richard Cousins, 64, a registered sex offender, was charged with 143 counts possession of child pornography and 3 counts promotion of sexual performance by a child.
  • Bruce Nopper, 51, was charged with 12 counts possession of child pornography and 1 count promotion of sexual performance by a child.
  • Rickie Vargas-Garcia, 30,Lego builder for Merlin Entertainment, was charged with 10 counts possession of child pornography.
  • Don Carrier, 84, was charged with 200 counts possession of child pornography.
  • Roger Catey, 53, Walt Disney World costumes department project manager, was charged with 24 counts possession of child pornography and 2 counts promotion of sexual performance by a child.
